On 23 September 2025, Sweden-based Netmore Group announced the acquisition of Arson Metering, a Spanish specialist in remote metering and utility operations, marking a deeper vertical integration of Netmore’s Internet-of-Things ambitions. Arson reports over 500,000 water and gas meters under management across more than 200 municipalities in Spain, Italy, France, and Greece, with a backlog of ~350,000 additional units. Beyond meter installations, Arson provides a Meter Operations Center and platforms—AquaCity and GasCity—that support anomaly detection, diagnostics, and full-lifecycle meter management.
This transaction accelerates Netmore’s shift from pure connectivity provider to end-to-end utility solution vendor. Equipped with Arson’s metering operations and digital systems, Netmore can bundle connectivity, device management, data analytics, and platform services to utilities. The deal also implies cross-sell synergies in markets where Netmore already operates Internet-of-Things networks, using low-power wide-area network architectures, such as long-range wide-area network, and hybrid low-power wide-area network networks.
