On 22 February 2021, Quikrete Holdings announced a US$2.74 billion acquisition of pipe & infrastructure supplier Forterra. This deal—one of three water-focused acquisitions exceeding one billion dollars in the same week—points towards the growing value of stormwater asset management. The all-cash transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021.
