On 10 May, Microsoft Corporation published a case study highlighting its 2019 collaboration with sewer condition assessment startup VAPAR. The software giant’s Azure Cloud Services platform hosts VAPAR’s proprietary algorithms for identifying sewer pipe anomalies, stores its CCTV video repository, and executes code through its Azure Functions feature.
Microsoft’s promotion of the VAPAR relationship follows a pair of recent announcements that underscore the firm’s increased commitment to the water sector as a major consumer, services provider, and technology enabler.
