On 22 September 2025, Hilliard, Ohio-based Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) announced its acquisition of National Diversified Sales (NDS) from Germany’s NORMA Group SE for approximately US$1.0 billion, marking one of the year’s largest water-sector deals.
NDS represents approximately 25% of NORMA Group’s revenues generating roughly US$313 million. NORMA Group, a global manufacturer of engineered joining technologies for automotive, industrial, and water markets, acquired NDS in 2014.Ten years later in late 2024, the company announced plans to divest its water position and refocus on core industrial and mobility businesses.
In 2024, ADS reported US$2.9 billion in revenue across four business units: Pipe, Infiltrator, Allied Products & Other, and International. The company’s portfolio spans stormwater conveyance, onsite wastewater treatment, and water management products. ADS’ growth has benefited strategically from a series of six prior acquisitions since 2017.
