Washington Continues to Battle over Needed Infrastructure Investment
On 10 August 2021, the U.S. Senate passed a US$1.2 trillion infrastructure package, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). The sweeping legislation outlines funding for water & wastewater infrastructure totaling US$55 billion and is now heading to the House of Representatives for approval. In its current state, the bill would be the largest investment in water & wastewater infrastructure in U.S. history.
