On 18 November 2015, RWL Water announced a joint venture, RWL Water Mexico, with Química Apollo to pursue industrial water and wastewater treatment projects in Mexico. Mexico-based Química Apollo specializes in chemical treatment services in the oil and gas, power, and other industrial sectors.

US-based RWL was founded by Ronald W. Lauder in 2010 and has since expanded geographically through five key acquisitions– Nirosoft, Aeromix, Eurotek, Unitek, Tipton– and key local partnerships in emerging water markets. The company has built a global position supplying water, wastewater, and reuse treatment solutions across municipal and industry verticals.

Only since 2014 has the firm consolidated its acquired brands under one global banner to present itself as an integrated solutions provider.
