On 13 May 2026, Uisce Éireann published a competition notice on Tenders Electronic Daily for a €1.4 billion multi-party framework agreement for engineering design and specialist services. This Engineering Framework—structured as a single lot under the negotiated procedure—will appoint 12 preferred suppliers and three active reserves for an initial five-year term, with options to extend for up to three additional years. The scope spans the full water and wastewater project lifecycle: treatment process design, network modeling, SCADA and telemetry, sludge management, combined sewer overflow and sustainable urban drainage systems design, construction supervision, commissioning, and asset management. Pre-qualification submissions closed on 30 April 2026, with 17 applicants to be shortlisted for the invitation-to-negotiate stage.
