On 29 July 2026, Xylem entered an agreement with private equity firm EagleTree Capital to acquire WaterFleet for approximately US$200 million. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2026. For the water sector, this transaction signals that mobile treatment has evolved into a core capability among leading water solutions providers rather than remaining a niche offering.
San Antonio, Texas-based WaterFleet was founded in 2013 and targets water supply needs at oil and gas drilling sites. While its core end markets include oil and gas, power generation, and construction, the company has also seen growth in renewable energy, data centers, and disaster response. Its mobile systems can produce potable water on-site and treat domestic wastewater to a reusable standard.
Washington, D.C.-based Xylem is a global water technology provider with four business segments: Water Infrastructure, Water Solutions and Services, Applied Water, and Measurement and Control Solutions. WaterFleet will be incorporated into Water Solutions and Services, Xylem’s treatment, transport, and assessment services group, which generated 27% of the company’s US$9.04 billion revenue in 2025.
