Aquapor Deal Extends Saur’s International Reach

On 11 January 2021, private water utility group Saur reached an agreement with DST Ambiente to acquire Criar Vantagens, the company owning 100% of Aquapor Serviços, S.A. Serving 26 Portuguese municipalities (55% of those that opted for private concessions) and 1.3 million customers, Aquapor is Portugal’s largest private provider of water supply and wastewater sanitation services. Its subsidiary Luságua provides management services for treatment plants, other water infrastructure, solid waste, and urban cleaning.
