On 30 April 2026, CRH announced the US$700 million acquisition of Axius Water from KKR and XPV Water Partners. Founded in 2019 and rebranded as Axius Water in February 2021, the platform was built around the combined nutrient removal capabilities of Nexom and Environmental Operating Solutions, subsequently expanding through seven bolt-on acquisitions of wastewater treatment specialists.
CRH is a Dublin, Ireland‑based building materials company founded in 1970. Its US$37.4 billion business is organized across three segments: Americas Materials Solutions, Americas Building Solutions, and International Solutions. Within its Americas Building Solutions segment, CRH operates its North American water‑infrastructure business largely through Oldcastle Infrastructure, which is focused on precast concrete pipe and drainage and stormwater management systems. Through Axius, CRH broadens its footprint further into advanced water quality and treatment solutions, positioning itself as an integrated player across the U.S. water‑infrastructure value chain.
