On 11 August 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a new Water Supply Strategy, Adapting to a Hotter, Drier Future. The plan includes ramping up delivery of water reuse projects, stormwater capture and storage, and conservation measures to address climate-related concerns influencing water supplies.
