On 3 January 2019, Ostara Nutrient Recovery announced the acquisition of Multiform Harvest. Based in Seattle, Washington, Multiform’s technology is designed to recover phosphorus from industrial wastewater streams and generate a branded fertilizer product, Multiform Nutrients, from the captured bi-product.
The global market for advanced nutrient recovery from wastewater utilities is still early in its evolution, augmented so far by a combination of regulatory drivers in select markets.
