China PPP Growth Extends to Flood Management

On 25 April 2016, China’s Ministry of Finance announced the 14 finalist cities that will receive financing from over 130 candidates for its Sponge City program. The program aims to build rainwater systems with low development impact. China Everbright Water Limited won the tender for Zhenjiang’s Sponge City project that includes a PPP for the construction and operation of an integrated floodwater management system.
