On 21 January, Baseform announced that it had secured a contract with Aljarafesa, the public water utility serving 31 municipalities and more than 330,000 residents in the Aljarafe region of Seville, Spain. With an extensive 2,500-kilometer water network, the deal ranks as one of Baseform’s vastest in Spain in terms of both population served and network length, underscoring its expanding role in serving Spain’s largest water utilities.
The Aljarafesa contract represents a significant step in consolidating Baseform’s position in the Iberian market. With an established presence in the region, the company is well placed to benefit from increasing digital investments in the water sector, particularly as Spanish utilities leverage public funding to modernize water infrastructure.
