Track drought exposure across U.S. states to understand risks to water supply, infrastructure planning, and long-term resilience.
The U.S. Drought Monitor dashboard tracks drought conditions across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Bluefield’s dashboard provides visibility into drought-affected area, population exposure, and drought severity by state and region. Users can analyze long-term trends, compare geographic impacts, and identify where drought conditions may influence water supply planning, infrastructure investment, and resilience strategies.
This data helps our clients address key questions:
- Which states have the highest levels of drought exposure?
- How have drought conditions changed over time across different regions of the United States?
- What share of drought-affected area and population falls into each severity category?
