Emerging Contaminants Move into Wastewater Biosolid Management Outlook

On 12 July 2019, the U.S. House of Representatives passed its version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) including amendments related to emerging contaminants, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Notable differences from the proposed Senate bill include Clean Water Act (CWA) discharge limits but without promulgations on drinking water standards.
