Analyst, Water Industry

We are seeking a Water Industry Analyst to play a key role in spearheading data-driven products and insights to Bluefield’s wide array of clients – from Big Tech and engineering services firms to hardware vendors and financial services firms. This position calls for a combination of industry insights and data analytics capabilities to develop real-time water market intelligence.

This is a great opportunity to leverage one’s core data and analytical skills through client-facing, commercial interactions with companies addressing the challenges facing the U.S. & Canada water sector.

Become a thought leader in water

  • Build and manage market forecasts and project databases.
  • Lead a steady flow of deliverables to clients, including written reports, presentations, forecast models, and client workshops.
  • Initiate, write, and produce regular executive briefings, PowerPoint presentations and market forecasts, while becoming an expert in this growing field.
  • Analyze the water industry trends impacting market development- regulations, project announcements, technology adoption, and macroeconomic influences.

  • Team Leadership: Guide and support a team of analysts to consistently deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and client workshops.

Sales Associate, Water Industry, North America

Bluefield Research is growing and actively working to expand our reach across the water industry, globally. As such, we are seeking an organized, intelligent, and highly motivated Sales Associate to join our team. 

The Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is to identify and nurture commercial business leads across Bluefield’s product portfolio of Insight Reports and Corporate Subscription Services. You will also support existing clients through the preparation of contracts, invoices, and other daily tasks – demonstrating a strong attention to detail throughout. The position will report directly to the Director of Sales and work closely with the Marketing and Research teams.

Responsibilities for this role will include the following:

  • Follow up with leads: Qualify, nurture, and close on sales opportunities in North America through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails.
  • Generate new leads and identify opportunities: help identify new clients based on database of contacts, existing clients, target audiences, and whitespace.
  • Support client management and engagement: Perform client management tasks across the sales cycle from inviting new contacts to register to preparing proposals, contracts, and invoices, to scheduling new client kick off calls. 
  • Understand and communicate product offerings: Develop an understanding of Bluefield’s offerings and be able to clearly explain value prop to prospects, qualifying them as potential clients in the process.
  • Manage sales and leads process: Effectively manage a sales pipeline, reporting regularly to the Sales Director on key metrics.
  • Gather market feedback: Document client and prospect feedback to aid business and product planning.
  • Promote cross-sell and up-sell opportunities: Help expand opportunities to existing client base through outreach on product offerings (reports, data, subscription services, custom research).
  • Be a team player: Team first attitude by support sales, marketing, and the research team in identifying new revenue generation opportunities.

Previous experience should include:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client success.
  • Experience presenting information products, such as analytical reports, market intelligence, data, and media.
  • Proven ability to network in person, by telephone, and by video.
  • Demonstrated ability to document, report, and present engagement activities in an ongoing basis.
  • Success in working the sales cycle from contact to deal closure.
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and client visits, if needed

Senior Consultant, Water Industry, North America

Bluefield Research is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its global consulting team and support the growth of its custom research practice in the Americas region (primarily USA). 

The Senior Consultant takes a lead role in proposal creation, content development, project management, and delivery for a wide variety of project scopes that typically include market sizing, M&A targeting, voice of customer surveys, competitive analysis, commercial due diligence, and channel development.  

Bluefield’s consulting clients span the full range of the water industry value chain, from technology suppliers and engineering firms, to utilities and private equity investors. As a senior consultant, your work will support a wide range of client functions including corporate strategy, business development, marketing, competitive intelligence, and product development.  

This role requires a high level of creative thinking and problem-solving ability, combined with strong interpersonal, administrative, and teamwork skills. This position will work alongside our Research and Commercial Teams as they engage with a growing roster of North America clients and prospects.

Support Bluefield’s custom research business:

  • Manage, lead, and execute consulting engagements: collaborating closely with experienced Bluefield colleagues and a range of client profiles (e.g., c-suite executives, product managers, business development teams).
